Viewing this in desktop Firefox all-stories green-dot view, it comes up with Tim Marchman as author when the author is actually Gita Jackson (although I want to train hers in green also). Is that a site issue or a parsing one?
Neither, I’m pretty sure this is a feed issue and the feed is putting that author in. They may have changed the author afterward, but NewsBlur handles author changes and will update the story. Here’s the code to handle that:
last time I looked at this I saw that Vice had multiple author (well, “creator”) elements and it looked like newsblur was just grabbing one, even though the RSS spec allows for multiple authors (…“creator”) per entry Waypoint RSS feed has two creators, Newsblur returns wrong one
