How do I make a comment on a feed item? I see buttons to reply to other’s comments, but not one to start my own thread. Thanks!

Comment = share. You can share without commenting, but cannot comment without sharing. In feed or text view, share button is at bottom-right of each story, and will expand a textbox for comments. In story view, you need to use the Shift+S keyboard shortcut afaik.
