While attempting to set up my account, the direct import from google reader timed out. I figured it was no big deal and I’d just try it again later… but I cannot for the life of me find where to restart it. Am I missing something obvious?

Click on the button with “+” in the lower-left. That’s where you add feeds and also there is a button for importing from GReader/OPML.

Note that this works only on the old design, not dev.newsblur.com, currenty.

Ah, that explains it: I was using the dev site.
