Is there a URL I can point Chrome to as a feed reader URL? This is then used to quickly add a feed by clicking on the RSS icon in the address bar. For Google Reader it looks like this: http://www.google.com/reader/view/fee…

Yes, there is. You can click on Manage > Goodies to get the custom add site URL. It’s this:

Know that there is also a bookmarklet that lets you stay on the publisher’s site. You can even choose and add a folder from that bookmarklet’s dialog. Also found under Goodies.
