I sometimes see items displaying twice in my combined feed (via Chrome browser), though they don’t show as duplicates in the sidebar. I’ve got a picture to show what I mean:

This actually happens pretty frequently when viewing the “global shared stories” feed.

That’s odd, those should be handled. It’s a remnant of paging, since when you ask for the next page of stories, more stories may have come in above, so you’re effectively getting older stories multiple times. I’ll take a look.
