What I would like to do is the following:
- Open links (from story headings) in background tabs in Firefox
- Do this only using the keyboard
- Preferably I don’t want the story to expand, I only want to see headings
At the moment the only way I know to do this is with the mouse, by right clicking on the heading and choosing Open Link in New Tab.
Having recently installed Vimium, which is a browser extensions that allows you to open links using only the keyboard, I thought I might be able to accomplish it using only the keyboard.
However in Newsblur the two links it allows me to open do these things:
- Expand the story underneath
- Open the drop down menu
If I try to open the link for the drop down menu by typing “o”, it wants to open a pop-up window instead of a new tab. And Firefox wants permission to do this for every site I might want to open.
If I try to open the link for the drop down menu with Vimium then the Newsblur menu disappears.
Does anyone know how to accomplish what I want, either without or (preferably) with Vimium?
