Desktop Web: Some feeds refuse to display unread stories

As of the last few days, a few of my feeds seems to refuse to display the unread stories they have.

I always read in “Split” mode (titles hidden) with the “Feed” display mode.

For example, my feed for The Verge (with ~200 unread stories) will not display. It seems like if a folder contains one of these “misbehaving” feeds, the whole folder will not display.

At the same time, some large folders do load successfully, so it seems to be specific to certain feeds.

The “Everything” folder is similarly broken as well.

What’s your username? I’d love to take a look.

My username is “jryans”. I’ve tried the site in Chrome and Firefox, but I get the same issue with both.

Thanks for the quick response!

Ohh, this is new. So what’s happening is that you have story titles hidden, but the first page has only negative (red) hidden stories. So it doesn’t know to keep fetching more pages until it finds neutral/positive stories, because the story titles pane is gone.

Hit shift+t, load the verge, and you’ll see what I mean. Anyway, I’ll get that fixed soon.

Ah, you’re right! I’ll leave the titles open for now. Thanks!

Ok, just deployed a fix. Tested on your account and now it works great. Thanks so much for reporting this.

Yep, does appear to be fixed. Thanks!
