For some of my feeds I know exactly when new content is added; often just once per day or in specific time intervals. As such, there is no need to mechanically fetch the feed every hour. I am not aware of how the fetching is implemented, but if it would possible to e.g. indicate in a feed’s settings the time / interval at which to fetch the feed, it would reduce unnecessary fetching.
