Greg, sorry about this and thanks for the patience while I dug in. Here’s what happened.
You’ve been on a Stripe yearly at $36 since 2013. When you upgraded to Archive through PayPal on April 14 for $99, the webhook that activates the new PayPal sub is supposed to cancel the old Stripe sub at the same time. A guard in that code misfired for long-term Stripe customers and skipped the cancellation, so your old Stripe renewal stayed armed and fired on its usual April 20 anniversary for $36. Worse, when that Stripe renewal posted, a second webhook assumed it was the active subscription and suspended the PayPal Archive sub, which is why your account quietly fell back to Premium and you started seeing feed limits.
All fixed on my end now:
1. Refunded the April 20 Stripe charge of $36 in full (receipt 2659-2602).
2. Cancelled the old Stripe subscription so it won’t renew again.
3. Reactivated the PayPal Archive subscription that got suspended on April 20.
4. Restored your account to Archive.
You should see your feeds come back and the unlimited sites cap restored. Your next Archive renewal will come from PayPal around April 14, 2027 at $99. Two upstream bugs in the billing code were the actual root cause here and I’m writing the fix now so this doesn’t happen to the next person switching payment methods.
Thanks for your patience and for sticking with NewsBlur all these years.
