I regularly see an article from a feed I’m subscribed to which makes the rounds on Twitter, etc. before I read it on Newsblur. It would be handy if the act of sharing a URL would automatically mark it as read as well.
Example: I shared http://acdha.newsblur.com/story/the-webs-original-si/14d569 before I read the quirksmode feed.
If the story is the same one, it will be marked as read. But the story you shared is probably from a different feed. Does quirks mode have multiple feeds?
I shared it using the bookmarklet after following a link on Twitter. The URLs appeared to be the same - e.g. no querystring tracking parameters - so I was thinking it’d be neat if they could be recognized as the same even though only one if them originated in a feed
