Apple Press Releases feed not updated since July

It appears that Newsblur is failing to recognize new items in the Apple Press Releases feed.

The latest item that Newsblur sees is from July. Apple has released quite a few press releases since then. According to Newsblur statistics for the feed, it appears to be checking on an hourly basis and receiving a 304 Not Modified or 200 OK response, but still, no new items in the feed.

I originally thought that Apple may have stopped updating their feed, but using curl I was able to confirm that the newest stories are in the XML, and that the Last-Modified header looks reasonable.

$ curl -i [http://www.apple.com/pr/feeds/pr.rss](http://www.apple.com/pr/feeds/pr.rss)
 HTTP/1.1 200 OK

Oh that’s so annoying. They are publishing two URLs, the one NewsBlur has (http://www.apple.com/pr/pr.rss) and the real one (http://www.apple.com/pr/feeds/pr.rss).

The old one has no stories newer than july 2011, but they don’t have a redirect to the new one. Fixed by changing the url. Thanks!

Fixed! Now I can see that AC/DC’s music is available on iTunes!

Thanks, Samuel.
