Android: feed loop

When I go to “all stories” and display unread stuff, I am marking stories that I want to review on my desktop pc later again as “unread” after viewing. Seems like the app is circling in a loop with those “marked as unread again” stories after the first batch is through instead of loading more stories. Then I’ll have to go to the all stories-list view, scroll down to the bottom of the list to load more stories and find the place in the list where I left of. When the freshly loaded batch is through it starts looping again instead of loading more stories.

Trying to understand both exactly what you are doing and what you are seeing.

I tried the following:

  1. go to All Stories
  2. set mode to Unread Only, Oldest First
  3. tap the first story
  4. swipe through some stories
  5. occasionally mark a story unread via the menu
  6. keep swiping through new unreads

I made it through about ~100 stories and didn’t see anything unusual happen.  No repeated stories, and the read/unread state of each of the stories I passed was correct when I went back to the list.

Am I understanding correctly that as you keep swiping, eventually an already-passed story reappears?
