I am a premium user and struggling with this same problem since years.
Over the time, displaying “All Stories” takes longer and longer on Android (Galaxy S22). 15-20 s becomes normal. On the PC browser it’s fine.
I have 15 RSS feeds. Displaying each one of them works flawlessly.
It is only the All Stories (configured to display the first story automatically), which takes long.
You see “Loading…” and need to wait. Also moving to the next story may take long (~5 s).
I found a workaround years ago: deleting the app cache solves the problem, so I am doing it when it becomes unusable. But I dislike loosing the old stories and reading flags.
Of course if you reinstall the app like suggested above it solves it too, but cache cleanup is enough.
May we hope in a fix some day? Or do you have a suggestion to solve it?
Settings:
Download stories/images are checked.
Same issue on Wifi and 5G.
Default browser: System default (Brave) or In-app browser: no change.
News number: currently ~5000.
